Under the direct supervision of Santa Cruz County Public Works Department, we have begun work on the Trout Gulch street-front between Cathedral Drive and the Vapor Cleaners area.

We were scheduled to dig a new storm drain section on 7/20 and get it buried and safe quickly.  Because of an unidentified pipe in the ground, our DPW inspector stopped work in the area to identify the pipe.
Once we have notice to proceed, we will do everything we can to complete the project and get out of the street as quickly as possible.  We will also work hard to ensure safety is maintained at all times.  Your patience and caution is greatly appreciated during this unusual and temporary circumstance.
Barring no additional unforeseen circumstances, the new sidewalk is anticipated to be complete within a month.
Thank you.
